The grass is greener

BROADFORD’S Harley Hammond Reserve oval will open in time for the football season with a new playing surface following an extensive upgrade.

Training returned at the oval this week after a $340,000 upgrade which included a new grass playing surface, turf cricket wicket and an automatic irrigation system.

The project started in late August 2016 and also included oval reshaping, a new drainage system and conduit laid for future lighting upgrades.
