District business back Anzac

BUSINESSES across the district have jumped on board an Anzac Day wreath project coordinated by Wayne Smith of First National Real Estate  Kilmore to pay their respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice this Anzac Day.
While travelling through Ballarat on Remembrance Day 2016, Wayne noticed how their cenotaph was decorated with coordinated and similar wreaths and upon inspection found them to be all from local business in the town.
Buds and Branches were approached by the RSL and in partnership with them has made 60 wreaths for Anzac Day services in Kilmore, Romsey and Lancefield and personally Di worked tirelessly over the weekend to make sure they were ready for today’s services.
“ I thought it was a great concept as it means that more people can attend a service and lay a wreath in memory of the Anzac’s. It makes it possible for people who haven’t laid a wreath before to do so,” Ms Templeton said.
