DISTRICT trainers shared success at Kilmore Racing Club’s eight-race turf meeting last Thursday.
Lee and Shannon Hope saddled-up three gallopers on the program and came home with a winning double and a dead-heat second placing.
The father-son duo was successful with Best Suggestion ($4.80) and Tavonian ($4.20).
The former, a six-year-old gelded son of Any Suggestion and Western World was having his first run since February, in taking out the Kingsgate Village Kilmore BM64 Handicap (1200m).
Ridden by promising apprentice Lachlan King, the gelding defeated She’s Beneficial ($7) by a half-length with Written Addiction ($6.50), third.
A noted first-up specialist, having now won three races with two seconds from seven preparations, co-trainer Lee Hope said there is more to come, especially when the tracks are wet.
