WANDONG Primary School celebrated Education Week recently by promoting healthy minds and healthy bodies.
Hosting a range of activities that encouraged students to become their best self, Wandong Primary School embraced this year’s Education Week of ‘Healthy Mind, Healthy Body’.
The school conducted daily yoga sessions at lunch time for students, as well as some flexible teachers. The yoga sessions helped students stretch their bodies, much like they are encouraged to stretch their minds each day.
Later in the week, Wandong Primary School hosted an ‘Open Morning’. Acting student wellbeing coordinator Jessica Woods said the event invited families into classrooms to engage in the learning process with their children.
